System.Data.SQLite

Data -> Add new data source -> ... -> Save the connection string to the
Application configuration file (yes, save the connection) result in
"An unexpected error has occured." Error Message; Could not load type
'Microsoft.VisualStudio.DataDesign.SyncDesigner.SyncFacade.SyncManager'
from assembly 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.DataDesign.SyncDesigner.DslPackage,
Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a'.

Version is 1.0.60.0
VS Studio version is 2008 Professional Edition.
Library was obtained as binary (i.e. not recompiled locally).

Is this a known issue; any workaround?

I can try rebuilding the library instead of using the binary distribution later tonight to see if that takes care of the problem.

I did a google search for that error and found several other instances unrelated to SQLite.  Most of them seemed centered around betas and release candidates of VS2008 SP1.

Thanks for pointing me in that direction.

Issue resolved; upgrading from VS Pro 2008 RTM to VS Pro 2008 SP1 fixed the issue.
